Shauna Wasden is a dedicated school-based therapist with a robust background in social work and a passion for fostering creativity and personal growth in young people. She graduated from South Fremont High in St. Anthony, Idaho, and earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Brigham Young University-Idaho in Rexburg, followed by a master’s degree in social work from the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
Shauna’s professional experience encompasses teaching music and other creative arts to youth, volunteering in various youth programs to promote healthy living, and teaching parenting classes to help struggling parents develop valuable skills. Additionally, she has worked with youth in foster care, helping them acquire essential independent living skills to ensure their success as adults.
Originally from Teton, Idaho, Shauna enjoys spending time with her family, playing the piano, and exploring the mountains. Her decision to work in the field of social work was inspired by her deep affection for children and a desire to support them through mental health challenges, especially after witnessing struggles within her own family. Shauna offers this advice to patients: “Cultivate relationships with people who uplift and encourage you, such as friends, family members, or community groups. As you engage in activities that foster these connections and prioritize open communication, you will begin to build a strong support network.”
