Mindy Jensen joined the Grand Peaks Wellness Center team in the summer of 2018. As a native of the St. Anthony area, she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family.
Mindy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University – Idaho. She then went on to receive her Masters’ Degree in Social Work from Boise State University. After passing the ASWB Master’s exam, she then became a licensed LCSW. Mindy has been working in the field of mental health since 2017.
Since graduating, Mindy has gained years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of mental and behavioral health conditions. Experience from surrounding organizations has given her experience in adoption and complicated family situations, as well as experience with juveniles dealing with trauma, grief, substance abuse, and other mental health disorders. She specializes in working with adolescents and their families through our school-based therapy program. Mindy sees clients with a variety of concerns including depression and other mood disorders, anxiety disorders, low self-esteem, trauma, adoption, ADHD, divorce, and relationship issues. She works from a collaborative, strengths-based approach; assisting and supporting clients as they identify their own strengths, learn new skills, and become the best version of themselves.
Mindy works hard to create a safe and healing environment where each client can work through life’s difficulties. Her treatment approach may include modalities such as CBT, TF-CBT, EMDR, person-centered, and psychodynamic therapy as her goal is to use the modality that suits the needs of each individual client.
Grand Peaks welcomes Mindy’s experience and expertise to our Behavioral Health and Wellness Center.
