Amberly Guymon is a dedicated social worker with experience in inpatient behavioral health. She graduated with a Master of Social Work from Boise State University after earning a Bachelor of Science in Marriage and Family Studies and a Minor in Psychology from Brigham Young University-Idaho.
Before starting her role as a social worker, she worked as a Psychiatric Technician in Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center’s BHC department. In this position, she provided continuous observation and support to patients experiencing acute psychiatric crises, as well as providing psychotherapy to children and adults.
Amberly is originally from Sugar City, Idaho, and likes to read and spend time with her family in her free time. She enjoys the outdoors and loves hiking, swimming, and camping.
She chose to pursue social work because of her passion for helping those who lack the tools to help themselves. She is eager to take what she has learned from her educational and personal experiences and make a difference in the lives of those struggling in her community. She offers this advice to patients: “You are more capable than you think you are.”
