Eric Pettingill is originally from Idaho Falls and has a strong foundation in mental health counseling. He earned both a bachelor’s degree in social work and a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Idaho State University.
Eric brings extensive experience to his practice, specializing in a wide range of areas, including substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, medication-assisted treatment, mood and psychotic disorders, personality and anxiety disorders, couples therapy, crisis work, and suicide risk assessments with safety planning. His expertise extends across diverse populations, including geriatric, adult, and adolescent clients.
Eric enjoys skiing, fly fishing, and golfing in his free time. His interest in working with individuals struggling with mental health and addiction problems stems from a deep understanding and a natural aptitude for the profession. Eric’s philosophy for life and his advice to patients is: “Life is a journey of good times, bad times, and everyday life. Neither the good times, bad times, nor everyday life define you; you define yourself and your experiences.”
